Sie tanzt, schreibt und steht auf Musik: Keltie Colleen

Who thinks a dancer is either a model in a hip hop video, shaking her booty, or a classical ballerina, is completely wrong. In the world of dancing is enough space for girls with nerd glasses. One of them is Keltie Colleen.

OK, she has choreographed for Mel B. and danced for Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas and for the NBA, but she has also created choreography for The Editors, was next to Cartel in a TV-special and was on stage with Panic! At The Disco. Her separation from Panic!’s guitarist Ryan Ross is almost legendary in the scene. Now she wrote a book – and is already working on the next one!

What do you tell in Rockettes, Rockstars and Rockbottom?

Keltie: RRR is the story of following your dreams and losing your heart.

Next to your book there’s another way to get to know you a lot better – your blog. Do you sometimes wish people from all over the world weren’t able to read all about your life?

Keltie: The good thing about being a blogger is that I get to choose what I share. It may seem like I share everything but I do keep some things to myself. If I can inspire one person to follow their dreams, then it was totally worth it.

When did you start dancing and what inspired you to do so? Which artist do you want to work with in the future and what are your other plans?

Keltie: I've always been a dancer. I cannot remember ever wanting to do anything else. I would love to work with P!nk next because I just love what she stands for.

Which book and which song played an important role in your life? Are you more of a rom-com-girl or an action movie girl? Do you rather dance to a hip hop beat or to an indie tune?

Keltie: I love indie music. I am totally a lyric girl, if the song has good lyrics then I love it. I have read so many amazing books that changed my life but the first one that ever did was Wally Lamb's "She's come Undone".

Which was the most impressive moment of your career?

Keltie: I think dancing with the Rockettes at the AIR CANADA center in Toronto last year. It was SOLD OUT and in my home nation if Canada. I was insanely proud.
