 Sie hatten alle großen Bands vor der Linse: The White Stripes, Radiohead, CSS, Queens of the Stone Age und viele mehr. Was wie ein Festival der Extraklasse klingt, ist gewissermaßen die Mutter aller Webseiten, die Musiker Sessions in voller Länge und Hochglanz anbieten. Die Rede ist von From the Basement.
Wenn Thom York auf einmal gar nicht mehr so unnahbar rüber kommt, man Josh Homme beim Jammen sieht und man Jarvis Cocker in Aktion sehen will, ohne das man vor der Bühne hin und her geschoben wird, dann steht man entweder im Proberaum der Band - oder schaut From the Basement. Die Liste der Bands, die hier bereits in intimer Wohnzimmer-Atmosphäre ihre Werke gespielt haben ist rießig, wir haben uns aber dennoch mal die Arbeit gemacht, alle Bands aufzuzählen, damit sich jeder seine Perlen raussuchen kann.
