Fight Like Apes: Berlin und Dresden

Die Fight Like Apes auf Tour Teil 2: Berlin war nicht vor den Herrschaften aus Irland sicher.19. and 20.09.2009: Serious Berlin. I've never been there before. We headed off from Munster of an early o clock and made the trek. Me and mary watched the "A team", Tom slept and Adrian and James did the work.

We hit Berlin around half four but got stuck in a traffic jam due to a rollerblading marathon. Who has a rollerblade marathon?...People from Berlin i guess.

Arrived late at the venue and did a quick soundcheck. Went upstairs and gorged ourselves on cheese and tins of pop. Delicious. We gave our friend Dave who lives in Berlin a shout and met him at the local Currywurst establishment. Terrible currywurst i must admit. Aloada ketchup with curry powder. Bleh! Still though, better than no curried sausage.

The gig went deadly. Seriously fun crowd.

Afterwards we headed out with Dave and his mate Barry to some really odd place. I suppose it could be described as a quasi legal nightclub, full of mad beans though. what is this dubstep everyone speaks of? Sounds like a bunch of spiders melting. Im open minded but good god i cant get behind that sort of thing.

We stayed up way too late, slept for an hour or so on Daves couch and then got into the van and drove to Dresden.

Me and Mary indulged in more A-team while Tom slept, Adrian and James drove. Were getting a bit of a rhythm at this stage.

We arrived at Dresden around five to this massive venue that was very daunting. We were curious if anyone would show up.

We ate a load of food (they really know how to look after you here) and played our show around 10:30. A really good crowd had come. They were very polite also. Im not used to polite crowds but i really enjoyed the gig.

We went back to the hotel and had a few nightcaps in our room before turning in for the night. Serious day off tomorrow. Might actually see a building or statue or something. Serious culture. Pockets / Fight Like Apes
