We talked with Tiger Lou´s singer Rasmus Kellerman about his inspiration for making music
Last year you were touring around Germany with Firefox AK. How is performing with your wife on stage? It’s great! There ain’t much more to say about it. You performed A partial Print in exact the same order as on the record. I got the feeling, the German concert guests weren’t able to empathize into the music as much as you’ve wished it. Is there a difference between the Swedish and the German audience? We knew that it was a gamble on our part, playing an album from start to finish, a mere two weeks after its release. But I think people in Germany, and in Sweden, were all good sports. We had a great time, and in the end, that’s all that matters to me. We needed to do something that we’d never done before. Plus, it sounded fucking great! Maybe we’ll do it again when the next album comes out! Where and when are you inspired the most to write new songs? It’s a rare thing these days, but whenever I find the time and energy to sit down and focus on writing I usually end up with a song. Or an idea for one. It does not matter where I am, or what time it is. I just need to focus. But as I said, that is getting harder and harder. When will the next record be released and what is the audience able to look forward to? I have promised myself not make to many plans regarding my music. I’m gonna try and feel a little more and think a little less â?? if you know what I mean. A Partial Print took a lot of energy to finalize, and a lot of planning. Now I want to concentrate on something that is the complete opposite. I have a lot of songs, and I’m gonna try finishing em, and then I’ll find out what kind they are. Which was the most haunting (happy, sad, whatever) moment for you with Tiger Lou? When we crashed the tour van on our way back to Sweden, is not a good happy moment for sure, but since we all walked away without a scratch, it is a pretty joyous one. Playing at the Hultsfred festival in Sweden 2006 is probably our biggest moment as a band. The audience was great, and huge in numbers. Wir haben einmal beschlossen, an einem Tag an möglichst vielen Orten aufzutreten. Es hat damit geendet, dass wir 24 Gigs in 24 Stunden an 24 verschiedenen Orten auf den Färöer Inseln spielten.
