...I thought it would be like any regular day...
The morning began unassumingly enough. We woke up, ate breakfast at the giant table, checked our emails, the usual. But that was before Lucy from No Angels rolled up, threw us in the trunk of her car, and took us on a tour of Berlin.
We saw remnants of the Berlin wall, drove through a checkpoint, screeched around the corner outside the Prime Minister's home and walked around Alexanderplatz. I was impressed that she managed to give us a brilliant history lesson in the midst of crowds of pre-teen girls snapping photos of her. Lucy, you are a woman of many disciplines.
.....then we walked by the Absinthe Depot and it all went downhill. One step in the door and the owner was already pouring us shots. Needless to say, I left there to the soundtrack of bottles clanging around in my purse. Tonight we are heading to Kreuzberg to see JD Samson's band Men play. I've decided that JD and I are destined to be together because every time we say goodbye on this tour, we end up seeing each other again 2 days later. I won't fight fate. Oh, and one more thing. Keep your schedule open on Friday night. I won't say why.
More blog adventures tomorrow.....
