Our first day off. I of course missed breakfast due to oversleeping but made up for it later with a currywurst to start my day. A fantastic currywurst at that. Definitely the best so far.
We headed into Dresden to cool our jets and take in the sights. Looked at a few statues i didn't quite understand (some gold lad on a horse etc), played in the sprinklers with May and had a few glass bottles of coke at some cafe ran by a man who closely resembled the Iron Sheik from the glory days of WWF.
We retired to the van around 2 for some A-Team and some driving. It was six hours to Nuremburg which was the half way point for the gig the next day.
We had a few beers at the bar and then headed to bed.
I got up for breakfast the next morning. Genuinely. I actually did it. We had our fill of amazingness and then headed off towards Zurich. Things started getting abit Hanzel and Gretal as we approached Switzerland, serious all the houses looked a bit too odd to be real.
We got stopped by the Polizei at a petrol station for a bit of a passport check then got a ferry to Switzerland.
Switzerland is fairly incredible. The bang of cash off it. Everyone smells like serious notes. The venue fed us amazing boiled beef and we hung outside overlooking a lake having a few drinks before the gig.
The gig in Rote Fabrik was really fun and the promoter, Alex was a serious gentlemen. Definitely want to go back there again.
We had a few drinks with Pillow Fight Club in the van at the hotel. Some lad that looked like "Wheres Wally" came out and asked for a beer off us. We gave him one, waited for him to go to bed, then did a wee wee on his doorstep and went to bed ourselves. So long.
